STADDON Heights felt the wrath of Dartmouth’s President’s Trophy team, losing 4.5-1.5 on their travels.
There was plenty more action taking place at Dartmouth as well, the Mixed Cobbler’s Cup going the way of Jules Vincent and Greg Pearman (41pts). Second place belonged to Chris and Brian Mushens who finished ahead of Beccy Barrett and Jack Kirby on countback- both pairs scored 39 points.
In typical English circumstances, the ladies’ Glendevon Trophy fell victim to the rain.
Meanwhile, there were two shots between the leading trio in the Men’s Normandy Vase and Midweek Medal. Robin Steer led the pack with a score of 69 whilst Roger Mawson (70) and Mark Collins (71) weren’t far behind at all.
Talking of Robin Steer and with 35 points, he also won in round two of the Gold Grand Prix, beating Paul Marels via countback.
Finally, there was the Mixed Saturday Stableford, Malcolm Barrett (36pts) and Chris Mushens (37pts) coming out on top in division one and two respectively.
