THERE are some golfing days when all aspects of your game come together and other days when you wonder if you have ever played golf before.

Both were in evidence as Dartmouth ladies played their first Medal competition of the season.

Jules Vincent was playing beautifully and following the advice for Medal play - no big scores on any hole. Finishing a round with two pars gave her a nett score of 68 and the Yeoman Trophy for her solid round.

Meanwhile, Chris Mushens beat Chris Aresti on countback and won the Hardy Jones Trophy with a nett 78.

So many competitions are adversely affected by the weather, so the men combined the Baker Salver with the first rounds of the Sandbanks and Badger Trophies.

14 pars and four birdies gave Lee Marels a score of 68 and the reward of the Baker Salver.

Lee’s father Paul wasn’t far behind on 69 and four ahead of the rest of the field.
