THIS week has been the quietest so far this season with only three fixtures scheduled; two for the men’s teams and a friendly match against Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club in Plymouth.

The men’s team matches were affected by the weather with the ‘B’ Team having to postpone their match against Newton Abbot due to the heavy rain.

Meanwhile, the ‘A’ team were drawn at home to King’s Bowling Club from Torquay but unfortunately the result went the way of the visitors.

There was a win on one rink and another was a draw, whilst the remaining two rinks lost their matches. The overall score was 82-70 shots in favour of Kings and 11 points to three.

Next week sees a busy return to matches in the various leagues, plus the Saturday coaching sessions starting at 10am will continue for anyone wanting to give bowls a try.
