A 3-BALL 22 from Panthers’ Jerry Cleverdon contributed to an opening leg of 70 and gave them a 7-pin lead over Wizzards after the first end in the latest Totnes Skittles League fixtures.

Sadly, that was as good at it got, although Alan Hewings finished with a score of 98, hitting four spares.

Wizzards’ Keith and Chris Worth (95 and 93) smacked seven spares between them as Wizzards finished their league campaign with a 42-pin win. Wrecks leapfrog Offcuts after their win, 61 in the 8th end put the result beyond doubt although Offcuts didn’t do themselves any favours after starting with a 36!

Fords sealed the title after winning comfortably against Wasps, captain Paul Trant hit two x 17 and a 16 in his top score of 92 and was backed up by Richard Murch (87) and Ben Trant (85).

Millers took a 32-pin lead over Woodpeckers after three ends, a 3-ball 23 from Colin Nash helped but it was all downhill from then on as a 60-pin 4th end got ’Peckers back on track and despite a final end of 39 they held on to win by four.
