ON A BREEZY but sunny Monday afternoon, Totnes Bowling Club greeted their first visitors of the season. The visiting team from Newton Abbot were the first game of the outdoor season. The match was played in good spirit and was a very enjoyable friendly with Totnes coming out on top by 64 shots to 47 and winning on three of the four rinks being played.

This coming, Saturday, April 20, Totnes is having its first “Try Bowls” session of the season, from 10am until 12noon. These sessions will run every Saturday morning through until mid-September. Everyone is welcome to come along irrespective of age, experience or ability.

All equipment is provided for the sessions with people on hand to provide coaching and help with practice. The sessions are free for those attending for the first few weeks. The only request is that for those are coming along to wear flat soled shoes to protect the playing surface.
