RAAC concrete has been found in the Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
The concrete has been found in the oldest part of the hospital has been installed there since the 1980’s.
However, the board of the Plymouth Hospitals Trust will be told that it is not integral to the structure of the building or load bearing.
The hospital has been inspected by NHS England and currently there is no risk to patients or staff.
Over 170 schools and colleges have had RAAC concrete found in their buildings and in some cases had whole buildings taken out of use.
