Police are appealing for witnesses after a 62-year-old man was killed on a filling station forecourt in Torquay.
The incident happened on Friday (November 1) at about 4pm when a black Hyundai Getz, a silver Honda Jazz and a pedestrian were involved in a collision on the forecourt of Sainsbury’s filling station at The Willows, Torquay.
The pedestrian, a local man, suffered serious head injuries and died in Derriford Hospital six days later. A customer inside the petrol station shop was also injured when one of the cars crashed into the premises, although he is now recovering at home.
Sergeant Troy Bennett, who thanked the members of the public who helped with first aid and remained to talk with officers, said the force was still investigating the circumstances of the collision.
Anyone who may be able to assist the police with their enquiries should contact the force’s website or call 101, quoting log 593 of 1 November.
