WIZZARDS remain undefeated in group two of the Totnes Skittle League’s Dart Cup.
Chris Worth started the new year with two spares and later added another in his 93 whilst Andy Guy finished with 2 in his 81 for TRFC, who were a man down.
Millers’ win over Offcuts took them past them and into a qualification spot- they hit 10 spares in their 472, their top score of the season. The best leg score was the final end of 62 with Steve Robinson leading off with 18 and Owen Vooght adding 16 further down the order.
Wasp’s captain Stephen Hanney’s top score included a 17 and 18 as they ran out comfortable winners over Panthers. Four spares from Wrecks Fred Farleigh failed to stop Fords who top the group.
Over to the Castle Cup and both the Gems and Meadowbrooks are three from three in their respective groups.
In two tight games, a final end 17 from Outsiders still left them four pins behind Meadowbrooks and 7th and 8th ends of 39 and 36 were enough to get Gems over the line, also by four over Odd Westons.
There were also victories for the Alley Cats and the All Stars- the Alley Cats beat Fordetts 273-268 in group one and the All Stars beat Diamonds 272-262 in group two.
Finally, to the league, and in a high-scoring affair, two ton+ scores from Offcuts aided them to a 14-pin win over Wizzards. Wizzard Kevin Murch just missed out on a century with his four spare 98.
Wizzards stay top although Fords have a game in hand. Wrecks’ Paul Burroughs also hit four spares in his 102 with Wrecks building a healthy lead by halfway, enough to see them home against Woodpeckers.
