LAST Sunday, the under 18 girls team from Kingsbridge Rugby Club gave a convincing performance against a joint Ivybridge and Exmouth team to win the 2024 Devon Cup final.

The Kingsbridge girls came out for the start fired up and soon flew into the commanding 36-0 lead which they carried into half time. The opposition side tried to come back in the second half, managing to touch down over the line and score. However, it was not their day and the Kingsbridge and Paignton collaboration closed out the game with a final score of 58-5.

The try scorers for the Kingsbridge side were Mia Ryrie, who touched down on four occasions, Scarlett Murgatroyd, who bagged herself three tries, Amelia Benfield, who went over once, and Laura Derry and Lucy Allen who also crossed the line for a solitary try each.
