ENGLAND RFU U20s made it three wins from three in the 2025 Six Nations tournament with a convincing win over Scotland.

Having previously beaten Ireland in Cork and then France in Bath, Mark Mapletoft’s young side hosted the Scots at Kingston Park, home of the Newcastle Falcons.

Campbell Ridl got England on the board before the visitors quickly hit back through Fergus Watson, neither try being converted.

Kepu Tuipulotu then crossed for his first of two tries with Teignmouth’s own Ben Coen adding the extra two points. Coen notched two more conversions before the break with England leading 31-8 on home soil, then adding a fourth.

Coen was then replaced by Josh Bellamy with Mapletoft looking to rest key players as the game was won by this point- the aforementioned Tuipulotu making way shortly after with Tye Raymont and Ralph McEachran also being taken out of the firing line.

England totalled nine tries in this comprehensive 57-13 success as they look to defend their Six Nations crown.

Speaking to us prior to the tournament commencing, Coen commented: “We are a new group with fresh faces and are really looking forward to defending our 6 Nations crown. However, we are well aware of the challenges.” No major challenge appears to have arrived just yet and now two games stand between themselves and a second consecutive title.

As it stands, England are top on 13 points, followed by France (10pts) and Wales (8pts), both of whom have won two and lost one. Then comes Ireland and Italy, with a win apiece and five points each. Last but not least is the winless Scotland team who are yet to get off the mark.

Coen and co host Italy at The Rec (Bath) on Friday, March 7 before rounding the tournament out with a trip to Cardiff on the 14th.
