Kingswear's soccer kids have been getting some professional help with their footie skills – from Plymouth's Green Army.

Former Plymouth Argyle player Jason Chapman – who now heads the club's football in the community programme – treated the Kingswear Primary School's KS2 youngsters to a two-hour workshop.

Said Kingswear teacher Chris Bonnet: 'Jason informed us that the children were absolutely outstanding and could be knocking on the current first team's door after demonstrating some excellent ball skills.'

He added: 'After joining our School Federation, we will be lucky enough to be taking part in some inter-school football tournaments and we feel this was a great way to get us prepared.'
