Exeter Men's 3rd XI. 1
Ashmoor Men's 2nd XI. 6
AS the sleigh bells ring and the snow begins to settle, Ashmoor 2s have not only conquered the league but have done so with a flair that would make even Santa jealous.
This Saturday, they wrapped up the year with an emphatic 6-1 victory, a testament to the team's unyielding spirit and tactical prowess.
The game, much like the season, started with a slight hiccup as Ashmoor found themselves a goal down early on.
But fear not, for this team is made of sterner stuff. Will Robinson, channelling his inner Messi, danced through defenders to slot home the equalizer, setting the tone for what was to come.
The second and third goals were masterclass in teamwork, Dan Cowdry and Matt Pearce rounding off beautiful moves.
Goals four and five pitted the pair against each other again in the battle for top scorer, before Morgan Stokes put the cherry on top with a stunning reverse hit.
Halfway through the season, with not a single defeat to their name, the Ashmoor Men's 2nd team have scored an impressive 57 goals while only conceding 6, and are nicely placed at the top of Riviera Division 1.

Ashmoor Men's 4th XI. 1
Ashmoor Men's 4th team fielded a real mixture of youth and experience in their final league match before the festive break. The team settled well and honours were even - 0-0 at half time.

Unfortunately, Devonport hit straight back with two quick goals to take a narrow lead, and then added a third late on.
Stand-in skipper Dave Stokes felt it was a really enjoyable game today, with some excellent teamplay.
He was particularly praiseworthy of all the youngsters who put in a tremendous shift, Matt McEwen, Will Baker, Francis Brodbelt, Dylan Anspatch as well as goal provider Harry Easthope & goalscorer and Player of the Match Milo Hobbis.
There was also an encouraging debut for Robert Stewart on his return to the hockey pitch after a 15-year absence!
