THERE were two very different trophy competitions contested at Dartmouth Golf Club this week, each challenging in its own way.

For the ladies, it was the Tee to Tea Trophy, which is played over 15 holes and double points are available if you accept the challenge.

Jules Vincent really enjoyed playing from the different tees, winning with 56 points ahead of Chris Mushens (50) and Jan Brooking (48).

Meanwhile, the men’s challenge was in the foursomes format for the Chamberlain Trophy. Avoiding big numbers is key and both Andy Birss & Paul Brown and Richie Ogle & Matt Young fell foul of eights and nines, finishing in second and third as a result.

Dave Brooking and Clive Meredith were the victorious duo by a single shot, on a Nett 74.

A mixed Stableford ran alongside and this was won by Tim Enticknap on an astonishing 46 points. Paul Stubbs (38) and Tim’s brother Jeremy (34) completed the podium.
