TWO Friday night fixtures fell victim of the weather once again in the South West Peninsula League.
Bovey Tracey and Teignmouth AFC were set to go toe-to-toe on November 29 in a local clash, whilst Newton Abbot Spurs had an away fixture scheduled against Elburton Villa in the Walter C Parson League Cup.
Neither game went ahead, making it two weeks on the spin that this quartet have been without action.
Four league games and three League Cup matchups were fulfilled though, presenting fascinating results as always.
Stoke Gabriel & Torbay Police crossed the border into Cornwall to take on Penzanze and were knocked out of the cup by a 2-0 scoreline, Sam Young and Silas Sullivan with the decisive strikes.
Bridport lost 4-0 and Crediton United won 4-1 to complete that trio of clashes and the pick of the league games came at Speeds Meadow.
Cullompton Rangers and Okehampton Argyle, two of the top three sides in the division, went to battle and Argyle came away with a monumental victory, despite dealing with a few injuries that included the absence of captain Alex Gray.
Luke Mortimore gave Argyle the lead with 15 minutes on the clock and then late goals from Dan Koita, Josh Coles and Owen Pickard put the gloss on the final score. This win takes Oke to the SWPL Premier summit, a point ahead of both Sidmouth Town and Cully, who have played one less and three more games respectively.
2-1 was the score in the other three league games with wins going the way of Bishops Lydeard, Honiton Town and Middlezoy Rovers.
Cullompton host Elburton on the 7th whereas Argyle are in FA Vase action away at Portishead. Spurs and Teignmouth will visit Sidmouth and Torridgeside respectively, Bovey welcome Axminster Town and then Stoke have the weekend off.
