BEESANDS played their penultimate game of the season on the night of Tuesday 21 with WBB as the opponents.

Exacting swift revenge from last week’s shock defeat, it was a comfortable victory against the rock-bottom team in the Premier Division.

First-half goals from Brad Williams and Adam Winkworth got Beesands well on their way before Alfie Prowse then put the game beyond reasonable doubt after the break. It could easily have been more emphatic as well with a trio of players being denied by the woodwork.

On Saturday 25, Beesands enjoyed their final outing of the campaign, the conclusion being a goalless draw against runaway league champions Ilsington Villa.

They may have been shorthanded, but the fourth-placed side still created the better chances, the crossbar’s rejection of Winkworth’s free-kick being the pick of the bunch.

Man of the Match in the WBB win was shared between Lane and Williams whereas left-back Josh Clarke received this one.
