IVYBRIDGE got over the defeat by Paignton that cost them the leadership in the C Division West by handing out an eight-wicket pasting to Ashburton.

Ashburton’s batting order was reduced to rubble in fewer than 20 overs as Ivybridge skittled them out for a paltry 54 and they then reached the required tally with bat in hand after 7.2 overs.

In the same league, Cornwood 2nd XI became the latest team to fall by the wayside against the aforementioned Paignton, although they were pushed all the way in that two-wicket victory.

Paignton boast a 10-point lead at the summit ahead of Ivybridge with a further 22 points separating the latter and the Wood.

Lastly, Kingsbridge defeated Yelverton by 129 runs to push the Moorlanders within 14 points of the relegation places.

After Kings put up 249-4, Yelverton responded with a score of 120 all out.
