STOKE Gabriel’s Justin Pringle took a century and some against Clyst St George which put his side on course for a 25-run win in the B Division.
The newly promoted side rattled along to 264 for seven in 45 overs with Pringle leading the way with 139, smashing 63 off of the final five overs.
Abhi Anand (38) and Jack Tolley (26) were there to chip in on either side, whilst Morgan Potgieter (2-30) and Creer (2-25) were the two standout bowlers for CSG.
Opener Chris Ferro played the anchorman role for Clyst with a patient 70 that helped the pursuit reach 166 for two. Dan Kendall (42) and Creer (49) helped along the way, meanwhile, Tolley (3-65) was the only Stoke bowler with more than one wicket.
“You are always in a good spot when someone gets 139, but we really took advantage in the last five or six overs,” said Stoke captain Jake Robinson.
