IVYBRIDGE face a promotion showdown with Paignton 2nd XI this Saturday as the C West title race comes to the boil.
After the latest batch of fixtures, the gap between Ivybridge (245pts) and Paignton (241) is just four points.
Josh Zimmerman, the Ivybridge skipper, can barely wait for match-day to come round.
“We go into it with a full-strength squad and confidence is high on the back of seven straight wins,” said Zimmerman
“We know the quality Paignton hold, so they have our respect, but the mood amongst the team is sky high.
“It promises to be a cracker that we are really looking forward to.”
Ivybridge stayed out in front of Paignton by handing out an eight-wicket hiding to Plymouth 2nd XI in double-quick time.
Zimmerman (4-32) and Lewis Clarke (2-8) did the damage with the ball as Plymouth were skittled out for 108 and in response, Ivy raced to victory before the end of the tenth over.
