Brixham were looking good at 67 for one, Dalton Sanders (24) and Tom Hopper (27) the run getters, but caved in to 70-5, and then 85-7!

Lee Upham with a brisk 43 at least gave the Brixham bowlers something to defend – and helped earn the team two bonus batting points in the process.

Spin was king for Ivybridge with four wickets for Lewis Clarke (4-12) and two more for Adam Huxtable (2-10).

Ivybridge got to 48 without loss – Harvey Johnson first out for 33 – then lost Abraham Kopparabil (17) on 60.

Zach Dunn (29) made further inroads in the deficit, which left Cebo Tshiki (46no) to wrap things up.

Upham (2-32) was Brixham’s main wicket-taker.

Ivybridge trail Paignton by 10 points in the race for the lone promotion place.
