PLYMOUTH CS&R failed to make it into the promotion frame despite a four-wicket win over Dartington & Totnes.
Civil had to win AND needed Kenn and Ivybridge to lose if they were going to go up. Only Civil kept their side of the bargain!
For Dartington & Totnes the result was confirmation they would be relegated… again. It will be D&T’s third relegation in as many seasons.
Aussie Jono Lloyd stroked a century on his last appearance before heading home towards D&T’s total of 209 for four.
Lloyd made 107 and was supported out in the middle by Ali Selby (24) and Alex Perkin (21).
Seven bowlers enjoyed a last-day trundle for Civil. Jonny Keiller (2-40) was the lone multiple wicket taker.
Civil chased down the runs with time on their hands – 12 overs to be exact – and without too many problems. Dan Winsor (56) and Paul Butson (43) were the main run scorers.
Lloyd concluded his second spell at D&T with three wickets.
