Following the success of an internal bus access training session last year with Plymouth Citybus Access Coordinator Emma Courtier, Unique Mobility is excited to announce a Bus Access Day on Thursday May 1 2025. This special event is open to individuals in the Plymouth area with access or mobility needs, providing a unique opportunity to learn about bus accessibility provision and practice entering and exiting a bus safely using their powerchair or compact scooter.

Held at Unique Mobility’s Plymouth Showroom at Drakes Mill Business Park in Estover from 10:30am to 1pm, this interactive session aims to help attendees gain confidence when using public transport. Participants can use their own mobility equipment or try out a range of solutions provided by Unique Mobility to find the best fit for their needs.

In addition to practical experience, attendees will have the chance to learn about their rights as disabled travellers, as well as the accommodations available on public transport to make journeys more accessible and stress-free. This supportive, low-pressure environment allows individuals to ask questions, receive guidance, and build confidence before travelling independently.

To attend the Bus Access Day, individuals can book a place via the link on Unique Mobility’s website or contact the Plymouth branch directly at 01752 546 222.
