Early morning, tail-gating white vans frighten a lady driver.

Anne Marie O’Rourke reported to Kingswear Parish Council that recently, white vans had come up very close behind her while she was driving through Kingswear. On separate occasions this had happened with two different white vans.

She said: “They were right up my bumper, flashing their lights and blowing their horns. I was driving through the village to Hillhead at around 8.15 in the morning.

“On each occasion, they were so close, I could not get their registration. They have done it to six other people. It seems that it happens first thing in the morning.”

Sgt Iain Simons, Dartmouth Police, said: “Unless we witness this behaviour, it is difficult for us to do anything without the registration number of the white van. If we have this, we can act.”
