Two Dartmouth residents are cycling the width of Britain from coast to coast.
Their route will begin in Whitehaven Cumbria, on the west coast and end in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, on the east coast.
The ride will be 200 miles and is planned to take three days, from Friday, June 2nd, to Sunday, June 6th.
The two cyclists are Graham Webb and Chris Chase who live in Townstal and Victoria Road respectively.
Chris explained, “I was born and raised in Dartmouth. The reason for this challenge is to make more people aware of a muscle-wasting disease called Muscular Dystrophy.
“Both my wife and my mother-in-law suffer from a form of this disease. It is a genetic disease and there’s no cure.
“My wife and I have been together for 14 years, although we only married last July. She can’t raise her arms and has suffered from it since her late teens."
