We lead on a story about proposals to reduce permit parking in Dartmouth’s Mayor’s Avenue car park to encourage more shoppers and short-stay visitors.

Our picture is from last weekend’s successful Motown night which raised money for the Dart Music Festival.

We also flag up two stories from Tuesday evening’s Dartmouth Town Council finance committee meeting, one concerning a grant application letter from the town’s Mayflower 400 group which was described as ’rude’ by councillors; and the other about how the committee is recommending a 64 per cent increase in the town’s take from council tax as part of the council’s overall aim to take over the running of parks and public toilets from South Hams Council.
