POLICE are warning residents to be on their guard after two burglaries this week targeting barns and outbuildings.
The incidents occurred between 5pm on Sunday, December 13, and 8am the following day in the Lutton and Bittaford areas.
In Lutton, entry was gained to farmland by forcing a padlock, before a securely stored red Yamaha quad bike was stolen.
A riding school near Bittaford was also targeted on the same night, when intruders broke in through the door of a workshop and stole a generator.
The police are urging residents to ensure all outbuildings are locked and secure, increase security around vehicles and heavy machinery, and promptly report any suspicious activity or vehicles.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police by calling 101, quoting crime number 85819/15 for the quad bike in Lutton or 85831/15 for the generator in Bittaford.
