A new health and fitness centre is opening on the Dartington Hall estate in Totnes.

Operated by the firm LED Community Leisure, which already runs more than 10 leisure centres in Devon and Somerset, the 4,000-sq ft facility in Lower Close, features state-of-the-art fitness equipment, including cardio machines, strength training zones and free weights.

The ‘Space Health and Fitness’ centre, which is opening on January 2, will also include high-intensity fitness training and outdoor classes set within Dartington Estate’s 800-acre grounds.

The membership options include either monthly fees or pay-as-you-go sessions, priced at £8.25 for gym access and £8.00 for classes. There is also free parking for members.

A pre-opening promotion waives membership fees until February 2025 for those joining before the end of the year.

Dartington Estate members will receive an additional 20 per cent discount.

Robert Fedder, interim CEO of Dartington Estate, said he was “proud to partner with operators like LED Leisure to deliver new experiences in leisure, arts, and hospitality”.
