The Lloyds Bank branch in Dartmouth has now closed, but they are offering a mobile bank in Mayor’s Avenue car park.
The mobile bank, which can perform services such as account enquiries, cheque and cash deposits, cash withdrawals, bill payments and standing order and direct debit management, will be in the car park between 12.45-2.15pm on Tuesdays and between 9.15am-1.45pm on Wednesdays.
Lloyds carried out a banking review before closing the branch and found that 55 per cent of people using the branch are aged 55 and over, and had 3 per cent more personal customers than an average Lloyds branch, but 40 per cent fewer business customers.
A spokesperson for Lloyds said: “Following a careful review of branches in the local area, Dartmouth branch will close on March 27, 2017. We have made the difficult decision to close this branch because of the changing way customers choose to bank with us, which has resulted in customers using it less often.
“The nearest alternative branches include Brixham and Kingsbridge, where the teams will be happy to help you with your banking and one of our new Lloyds Bank mobile branches will visit the Dartmouth area. The local Post Office is also a short distance away, where you can manage your day-to-day banking.”
