THE Kingsbridge In Bloom team are looking forward to judging by the Royal Horticultural Society next Friday– and are asking for help. Britain In Bloom is a nationwide gardening campaign aiming to transform cities, towns and villages since 1964. This year, Kingsbri-dge is in the Champ-ions of Champions competition, having won Gold in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Chairman Graham Price said: 'Expecta-tions are high and we will have a really good entry this year, having upgraded many plant-ers and purchased new ones with water retaining reservoirs. 'Additionally, we have sown meadow seeds along verges which are just starting to flower. 'They will give a spectacular display for the next few weeks.' The team have been working alongside South Hams Council to maintain some of the beds and verges. The judging route this year is: Town Square, Lime Kiln on Squares Quay, Ilbert Road, Cookworthy Road, Redford Meadow, Old Plymo-uth Road Railway Bridge, Top of Fore Street, Duncombe Street, Kingsbridge Primary School, Church Street, Bridge Street, Embankment Road, the Recreation Ground, Waterside Park, Brit-tons Field, Embank-ment Road, Fore Street, the Community Garden and St Edmunds Church. 'If you live anywhere on this route, a colourful display outside your premises would be much appreciated,' said Graham.
