KINGSBRIDGE Wargaming Club is staging a special event this weekend to mark the nationwide commemoration of the Battle of Waterloo 200 years ago.
Between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, July 4, Dodbrooke Hall will play host to a miniature recreation of the Battle of La Haye Saint, the only part of the wider battle that Wellington did not win.
The wargaming club is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
The free event will also give people the chance to see a wide range of memoribilia from the battle, including most of the different types of sword in use at the time.
There will also be a real Waterloo medal on display, as well as authentic relics from the battle, and reproductions of lots of documents from the era. Many items have been lent to the club by a local collector.
Kingsbridge has strong connections to Waterloo, as it was previously home to a barracks from which soldiers went off to fight in the Napoleonic Wars.
