Children’s Hospice South West will benefit from a quiz night being held at The Old Inn at Halwell on Tuesday, February 27, starting at 7.15pm for 7.45pm. Teams of 4 are invited for a fun evening with a raffle and prizes for the winning team and a buffet supper for all.
All proceeds from the event will go to help CHSW to provide essential specialist care for around 500 children with life-limiting conditions and their families from across the South West.
With three hospices: Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour in mid Cornwall, it means that no family has to travel more than 90 minutes to receive CHSW specialist care and support. This care costs £9.5 million every year, of which less than a sixth is provided by government, the rest has to be raised by fundraising.
To reserve a table for the quiz night phone The Old Inn on 01803 712329. Tickets are £2 per person.
The Dartmouth & District Friends Group meet monthly to arrange fundraising events locally. For details of how to help, however little or infrequent, contact Sue Tweed at [email protected] or 01803 770730. Information about hospice can be found at www.chsw.org.uk.
