Firefighters are desperately searching for a missing dog that vanished after a car crash on the A38 near Dean Prior.
Beloved poodle-cross Poppy ran away from the scene towards Rattery after the accident on Tuesday, September 17.
Her owner was taken to hospital after the crash, which caused the car to overturn, and fire crews are now trying to reunite the pair.
Buckfastleigh Fire Station said: “Poppy is a beautiful poodle-cross who along with her owner was involved in a road traffic collision on the A38 on Tuesday afternoon at Dean Prior.
“Poppy was obviously scared and ran from the vehicle in the direction of Rattery.
“She was last seen running up the Rattery turn off on the northbound carriageway.
“Poppy’s owner has gone to the hospital for checks and we would dearly love to locate Poppy and reunite them after their very scary ordeal.
“Please share and look out for Poppy.”
