Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following an incident where a cyclist sustained serious head injuries.

A 61-year-old local man was found unconscious lying next to his electric bike on an unclassified road by Wonnell Barn, near Yealmpton, around 5.45pm on Saturday, August 15.

Devon and Cornwall Police posted on social media, saying: “He sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

“Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident and ask any witnesses to contact them via [email protected] or by telephone on 101, quoting log number 821 of August 15.”
