Police and fire services suspect arson after they were called to attend to a fire outside a storage area of a property.

Kingsbridge Police and Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue were called to an address at Ebrington Street, Kingsbridge just after 9pm on Tuesday night.

Police said they are not ruling out arson while DSFR said the cause was deliberate, and investigators are trying to figure out the cause of the fire which they said has caused “significant damage and caused risk to life”.

Firefighters confirmed the fire was in an outside storage area involving a bike and rubbish.

They are appealing for witnesses and if anyone has information to call 101 quoting log 856.
