The A379 is now open between Modbury and Ermington but there are traffic controls.Earlier today, the A379 was closed in both directions due to a fallen tree and fallen power cables between A3121 (Ermington) and Church Lane (Modbury).

Police closed the road for safety reasons after power cables fell along with the tree across the road.

The road remained closed for some time as engineers were required to attend to the damaged cables.
